Innov8tiv takes on Social Media Week, #smwGET! Join us for a Great Event

Social Media Week is gearing it’s lovely head in New York City for a week long extravagance of events and useful tips focusing on the enormous social, cultural and economic impact of social media.  Starting today, Monday February 17th and ending Friday, February 21st, attendees are given a chance to dialogue, network, and explore platforms and innovations that are now guiding the landscape of modern lifestyle and business every day.

In line with what is set to be an exciting time for social media consumers around the world, Innov8tiv.com will be partnering with IBOM LLC, Social Media Week, Black Enterprise Magazine, and New York University’s Black Student Union to host a special panel discussion, “Advances in Global Entertainment Technology”, #smwGET on February 21st at 7PM at Vanderbilt Hall in NYU.

Discussion to include how to launch a new technology application; how to use social media to grow that business; how to take that business global; how to wind down from all of the technology/social media; understanding the role of technology in our lives;  understanding what it takes to be an entrepreneur; and lastly, understanding the role that social media plays in all of our future endeavors. A Google chat session will be created for those who cannot attend the event.

Special guest to the panel will be Jason Njoku – co-founder and CEO of the world’s largest digital distributor of Nollywood movies, iROKOtv and Youtube’s biggest partner in Africa. Additional speakers for the event include, Jacqueline Nwobu – Co-Founder of Munalunchi Bridal Magazine; Janel Martinez – Tech Editor at Black Enterprise and CEO of “Ain’t I Latina”; and Oldine Jean-Charles – CEO/LJCL and founder of Interactive Life Social TV Project. Janell Hazelwood, Associate Producer at Black Enterprise will be the moderator for the event. The Pre-Panel segemnt will be hosted by Chi Meche and Alain Balan, President, NYU Black Student Union.
