Ford Launching 25 New Vehicles In The African And Middle East MarketFord has identified the African and Middle East market as a promising and fast growing market for its products. In a move to capitalize on this, Ford is set to roll out 25 new vehicles into this market. This means that in the next two years or so, more drivers in Africa and Middle East will be spotted behind the wheels of iconic American sports car, the Mustang and others like the Transit, Ford Focus, Ranger XL-Plus, Ford Fusion among others.

The vehicles Ford is planning to introduce to this market range from small to large size vehicles and comes fitted with the latest technologies such as the EcoBoost engines, Active Park Assist, Rear View Camera, Lane-Keeping System, Active City Stop, Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, inflatable rear seat belts and SYNC in-car connectivity among others.

The move by Ford to roll out 25 new vehicles into the African and Middle East market comes barely six months after Ford did some realignment in its four Market regions: South Africa, sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa and the Middle East turning it into a single Ford Middle East and Africa business unit. This was to enable Ford give better customer support to its customers as well as capitalize on this fast growing consumer market.

Ford Middle East & Africa President, Jim Benintende, said, “We are accelerating the introduction of our new products in Middle East & Africa, leveraging our One Ford plan with a full family of vehicles offering the very best quality, fuel efficiency, safety, smart design and value. Thanks to our One Ford plan, we can offer vehicles and technology that customers want and value, tailored to the needs of our markets.”

Perhaps, more noteworthy is the all-new and stylish Ford Fusion model. Having quiet a striking design with premium-level interior craftsmanship, delivering segment-first adaptive Full LED headlamps SYNC with MyFord Touch that also includes an eight inched colour touch display.

According to Benintende, while each vehicle like the Mustang will cost around $23,600. The African and Middle East market is expected to grow by 40% over the next ten years to about 5.5 million vehicles.

He said, “Middle East & Africa is the final frontier for global automotive growth, and we are putting the infrastructure and people in place to participate in this growth with the introduction of new products, leveraging our One Ford global strengths.”
