Fem Bosses: Meet Kenyan Tech Guru Shikoh Gitau
Shikoh Gitau is the founder of the app called Ummeli. Ummeli is the Nguni word for mediator, and its a mobile jobs and community portal hosted by Vodafone Live and accessible through Young Africa Live. This idea was originally conceived as ‘LinkedIn for the BoP (Bottom of the Pyramid). Ummeli creates a gateway for young people to enter the mainstream economy through a network of connections to community jobs.
